Aims to provide not only a superb social environment for our members and their families, but also to raise money to aid a range of charities through the organisation of events for this express purpose and a little bit of friendly competition.

An introduction by our President Bob Weston The Society was borne out of an idea that my late Father (Scratchit to all those who knew him) proposed after we had enjoyed the First Corporate Golf Day at the Essex Country Club. The idea was simple – to provide the opportunity for any golfers associated with Weston Homes, to join us for fun and, into the bargain, raise as much money for charity as possible. 12 years on it has been and continues to be a great success. The early members were all either employees of Weston or suppliers, but over the years the membership has expanded and now includes members from a wide spectrum of industry and commerce with one thing in common. They all enjoy the comradeship of belonging to a very friendly society in the knowledge that the standard of your Golf is not the main priority. Since it's inception The Weston Homes Occasional Golf Society has been honored to be captained by a number of our esteemed members. The captaincy is handed over on a yearly basis and the Captain chooses the Society's charity(ies) for the duration of that year. An introduction to fines

Fines have been a long standing tradition within the Society. Starting on day one and still going strong, we say , if you see it.
YOU NOTE IT DOWN!, even if you imagine it, YOU STILL NOTE IT DOWN, all mishaps be it real or bending the truth very slightly get added to the list!!!.

This all this adds up to hilarious fun being had by all, peoples pockets might be quickly emptied of change, but nobody minds as all proceeds go to our chosen charity!

Each and every mentioned fine adds up to a £1! The brave might appeal the supposed crime, but miscreants beware, a failure to win your appeal will result in the fine being doubled!.. and guess what , to date there has been not one winner of an appeal in the society's history!!!! STRANGE THAT. . I WONDER WHY?

KICKING OFF THE 2008 FINES TO GIVE YOU A TASTE

Our lovely 'Mr only the lonely' watson, turned up at our ladies night function dressed in?
How much did he pay for that suit?? Well it was a lot of money. Even so, no matter how sharply dressed.. it still didnt help lonely capture a lady brave enough to come with him!...I.ve cleaned that up a bit. He of course got fined for not having a date!!
